Terminating Membership
Steps for Terminating Service
- The Member should notify UHWC of their intent to disconnect from the system as soon as possible to allow adequate time to terminate their membership.
- The member must provide access to the property for the purpose of obtaining a final meter reading and a final bill. Allow a minimum of two weeks to arrange for a final meter reading.
- Water service will remain connected to the home unless the home is expected to remain unoccupied through winter/freezing conditions. It is the homeowner's responsibility to request that water service be physically disconnected from the home.
Membership Fee
The membership fee of $650 is not refunded to the homeowner upon termination of membership.
